Tynan Allan

CultureING

Tynan is a compassionate innovator, speaker, challenger of the status quo, and optimist for the future. Today, he spends his days acutely focused on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Consulting practice, CultureING. His expertise lies in leading change, facilitating difficult conversations, and creating a safe place at work where people can thrive. As a Queer Biracial Black man, he also brings a unique lived experience that enriches his approach to DEI.

As a G20 Young Entrepreneur Delegate in 2017, Tynan gained invaluable insights and global perspectives, further enhancing his ability to navigate complex environments and work collaboratively with people from wildly diverse backgrounds. As one of two Black delegates representing Canada that year, and often being one of the only Black-identifying folks in a room, he has a profound understanding of the feelings that come with being “the only” and the need for sponsorship of emerging Black talent.

Throughout his career, Tynan has spearheaded impactful programs, facilitated meaningful conversations, and designed comprehensive training to drive positive change. At Rogers, he had the honour of launching the Elevate Leadership & Sponsorship program for Black Senior Managers to Directors. This highly-specific program focused on the company’s commitment to the Black North Initiative and its own pledge to increase the representation of equity-deserving talent at the leadership level.

In addition to his experience in DEI, he has a strong background in workplace wellness, company culture, and project management. Having worked with notable organizations such as Deloitte, liveweb, PurposeMed, Absorb Software, Top Hat, Village Ice Cream, The United Way and the Black North Initiative, Tynan is able to quickly adapt and apply his skills to new environments and industries.
