Jack Goodwin

Jack am a scientist at heart who was diverted into practical design and ecological agriculture by the ominous realities of the present world: ecological degradation, climate change, and incredible disparity. After spending 9 years at the University of Calgary pursuing a BSc. in Chemistry and working in a world class geo-chemistry lab, he found the challenges of supplying humanity’s needs to be more present than ever.

A love of science, food, and good design has merged into a career in regenerative agriculture. Jack have spent the last 9 years starting and supporting both for and nonprofit urban agriculture projects from his home in Calgary.

The current iteration of his work is as CEO of Gorilla Gardener, and Co-founder of Vacant Lots Farm Club, where he matches hisexperience in community engagement with design skills built in the lab and on the ground.
