Garett is from the O’Chiese FN, the only Ojibwe Nation in Alberta. Garett is currently working for his FN Community as an Economics Development Manager, and has been very involved with the community development planning with Wellness as the core of the scope of work. Garett has been on his wellness journey for some years now, but just a little over a year has delved deep into trauma healing. There has been a lot of learning and unique findings when it comes to trauma wellness work for Indigenous population, and Garett has been on the forefront for his community in this area.
