Antoine Palmer is a co-founder and director of Sparrow Capital and the Sparrow Group of Companies based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Sparrow Capital is a community asset management platform dedicated to community economic development in the Edmonton region. Sparrow helps communities develop and own assets. Community assets can include operating capacities, operating businesses, amenities, equipment, real estate assets, etc. Since its establishment in 2017, Sparrow Capital has developed a portfolio of operating businesses, cowork spaces, and commercial and multi-family real estate properties in the Edmonton region.

These assets and operating capacities represent a network of complementary functions that are designed to cultivate and support community capacity and entrepreneurial leadership in the Edmonton region.The operating capacities deployed by the Sparrow network since its inception in 2017 include Sparrow Capital Inc. (www.sparrow.capital), Sparrow Cowork Inc. (www.sparrocowork.com), Sparrow Community Services, and LiveTreo Construction Services Ltd., as well as two new organizations currently in incubation: Ordo Administrative Services, and the Open Equity Foundation.Sparrow has also developed and operates a portfolio of commercial and residential properties in Edmonton, including the Gibbard Block, Brighton Block, Westmount 107, the Zariwny Building, and Blue Quill Pointe, among others, as well as various real-estate assets in other cities.

Antoine’s background includes extensive global travel; 10 years living in Europe, mostly in France, Germany, Austria, and Belgium; 10 years practice as a Hindu monk and founder/president of a small Hindu monastery and temple in Vienna, Austria; co-founding of an extensive series of startups and small businesses, including Sustaintech Inc. (www.sustainitech.com), Sustainival (www.sustainival.com), Konscious Management Services, Palmer Naturprodukte, and East of Eden Restaurant, among others.Antoine has extensive training in leadership and communication and served for two years as administrative director of an international communication and coach training institute. He holds a diploma in mediation and conflict resolution from a Vienna academy and a diploma in Indian philosophy from the University of Wales.

Antoine lives in Edmonton with his wife and 4 children and loves practicing meditation, philosophical banter, study and writing, playing guitar and percussion, mountain biking, snowboarding, saunas and sweat lodges, backcountry hiking and camping, great parties, and various shenanigans.
