Elder Margaret Crookedneck
Elder Margaret Crookedneck was born and raised in the boreal forest of what is now known as the Meadow Lake Provincial Park. She sits as and Elder in the Ministikwan Lake Elders Council and continues to assist as a consultant and knowledge keeper. She is 85 years old and a resident of Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation. Elder Crookedneck continues to help in the immersion school as well as the culture camps. She plays nikâwiy (mother), nohkom (grandmother), and câpân (great grandmother).
